In 1988, Dr. Hamza was appointed as Assistant Professor of Neurology at Charles Drew School of Medicine & Science and UCLA, and continued his academic tenure while he attended his clinical work at Santa Monica—UCLA, St Vincent's Medical Center, Olive View—UCLA, and St. John's Health Center, Santa Monica. He attended Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, UCLA Medical Center-Westwood.
Dr. Hamza was designated by the California Board of Industrial Medicine as a Qualified Medical Examiner.
Dr. Hamza has written several publications and has presented many lectures to regional and national scientific groups. He has been a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Neurology, American Child Neurological Society, and the Association of California Neurologists.
He is a member of the Clinical Electromedical Research Academy, the American Headache Society, the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, the American Academy of Neurophysiology, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the American Academy of Pain Management, and the American Academy of Pain Medicine.
